On 14/9/2025, as part of our organization’s activities within the “Women’s Participation in Elections” project, implemented in cooperation with Women for Women International and supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) — part of the NISSAM project — we conducted a special awareness seminar for women at the Shiyaw organization’s office, prepared for 20 participants with special needs from both genders in Erbil City.

The purpose of this activity was to raise awareness among women about participating in elections and supporting female candidates.

• Activity 6   On September 14, 2025, a session was held at the Shyaw Organization office with the attendance of 20 disabled men and women. During the session, they discussed electoral rights, voting rights, the importance of civil participation, how to elect their candidate in the elections, and the most important obstacles they face.
